Nick received his speed riding Ozone Fazer 4 and of course we went to the park to enjoy it. Other guys showed up so once again it was a one happy day with the crew. The end of the day was reserved for cleaning and repacking some PPG reserves

We are having some great progress this mont. Jack finished his P1 with flying colors and after his first Tandem on the Ride 3 is now ready to start soaring high on his P2 near Sauk City. Dylan began his P1 first steps/flights and after 3 short days under the Falco is already showing his talent at practice. The days are now again getting longer...:)

Cold? We don't think so. It's all about the right outfit and today we proved it once again. This time with Dylan.

December brought bad weather. Rain and wind were a frequent condition that we hat to deal with. Despite that, we managed to sneak out a few flyable days along the ridges at Bender Park on the lake Michigan as well as some powered paragliding XC trips north of Lake Wisconsin. Greg, Kory, Curt, Adam, Tom....all toughed it out well.
-
12/5/20
Jack is progressing really well. Some more ground handling work we will need to work on the runway before towing but his overall approach towards to the sport is fantastic.
-
11/6/20
November rolled out. Following the success of our recent paragliding tours, we had to get back to work. Flying over the fading colors of Wisconsin continues...The months was dedicated to exploring the Platteville, WI letter M hill.

Idaho's Horse Shoe Bend flight park held the second-ever Accuracy Landing competition in the United States. Our club had to go! The competition was very modest mainly due to the fact that Covid prevented many of the world-class pilots from attending. Scott and LD were very accommodating and friendly with all. Nick and Adam scored well with the multiple take-off sites and the constantly changing conditions during the event. We also got to fly at King Mountain, Sun Valley, BOB and Sky Ridge. What a trip!

We have just returned from 3 weeks in Bulgaria. Beautiful weather, great food, affordable transportation, and stunning views. Lots of flying with 2 major XC flights crisscrossing the country.
-
8/25/20
We had the pleasure to pioneer a new paragliding site near Hokah, MN. Great place with really good potential for XC and high altitude flying. David, Adam, and I became the first known pilots to paraglide at this location and we are very proud to have the chance to add one more place for our club members and everyone else to enjoy. In the meantime, more lucky students shared the thrill of flight with us. Todd, Chandi, Mike, Nick, Jazz, Paras and Irem, all had unforgettable memories from the skies above WI.

8/13/20
August began with preparation for the upcoming European paragliding trip. Bulgaria and Greece were our club's primary goals due to favorable weather conditions and the local club's hospitality. The covid-19 has a slim chance of impacting the trip but our pilots don't stop flying whenever they get a chance. Nick is progressing well. Brian rocks under his Falco 2 and in the meantime 2 more new trainees are about to begin their quest for adventure. The recent trip to Hager City with David was a blast. We managed to escape the gravity of the hill and headed N to a surprise of the inhabitants of the town of Ellsworth, WI.

July was full of tandem flying. Kati, Achint, Jade, Ivet, Tyler, Kristy, Patrick... Due to our recent trips, our tandem schedule turned to be pretty tight. But thanks to everyone's flexibility and just being AWESOME, EVERYONE got to fly. We were blessed with FANTASTIC weather and sure we took the best of it. All flyers were super cool to fly with and some even signed up for lessons after the flight.

7/23/20
Another beautiful day for flying. The forecast looked great. Paul was on the thug. Curt, David and I spent a couple of unforgettable hours playing with the thermals north of the Wisconsin River. The new Volt 3 delivered right from the bag...from 350ft low save to 3800ft in no time and this speed machine promised to be a great companion in the sky.

7/12/20
Adam was making his flights longer and longer with every tow. His Vivo has so far proven to be an excellent choice of a glider. Nick is now nearing the end of his P1 and so far has been showing great progress and determination to learn. Matt just received his new wing from Austria and it was time for this beauty to breathe some WI air. Restless David is now anxiously awaiting for his Rise 4 to arrive after taking the best of his Charger on tow.

Annual paragliding trip - a week in Colorado
-
6/13/20
It was an epic tandem day today...Amidst all the solo playing, we also had to plan a day for flying with Gregg, Debra, David, Nick and little Pie. It was Pie's second flight with us :) We finally received our new flagship - the Ride 3 from Air Design so it was time to put it through the test. And it did AMAZING
-
6/10/20
This week we spent a great deal of time playing with the laminar winds blowing east from the Lake Michigan.
-
6/2/20
Curt graduated and another P2 completed. The season kicked off with the team being very active and we began to plan our next annual paragliding adventure. Colorado's High Country was on the "horizon"... In the meantime, we kept going on a full-throttle with our tandem flights. The reserve runway by the Dells had to be used often due to the frequent NW wind.

5/17/20
It has been a few days cycle well spent soaring and testing new gliders at the Hager City cliff launch site. Curt, Ken, and Adam took the best of the great flying conditions. Members of the MN paragliding club were also there that day and the flying became even more spectacular when a family of vultures decided to join us along the ridge.

05/05/20
Demo day. Matt is on the search for a new paramotor wing. As a well established free flying pilot he has gone through a few free flying wings in his career. Today it was his time to try something new and reflex...the Austrian BGD Luna 2
-
04/25/20
Jake is one step closer to getting up in the air on his own equipment. His new Apco Aviation Lift EZ-R touched down and we got it out for its first breath of Wisconsin air. What a beauty.
-
04/16/20
Adam got to test his new Air Design Vivo in towing today. It took him less than 10 minutes of coring his second thermal and he found himself at the cloud base "showered" by ice pellets and adrenaline rush. Ken finally got his much needed long free flights to get accustomed to his new "Illusion". Curt tested yet another paragliding harness and nailed those landings well. What a day for everyone.
-
04/10/20
Practice, practice, practice. Joshua, Nick, David, Curt and Jeff gave it a good paragliding "gym" session today. Mastering the takeoff and landing is the core of the sport and the guys know that well now. The progress is impressive.
-
03/14/20
Today we had one more group trip to Hager City, WI for yet another P2 Cliff Launch sign off. Curt earned his wings and Ken got to test his new Paraglider. 2 new "mountain pilots" were born. The group turned out to be much bigger than planned as nobody wanted to miss a good day of ridge soaring with the vultures.
-
02/17/20
February has been long reserved for one of our annual Paragliding club tours. From the beaches of Montanita through the gateway to the Andes at Cochancay and from the cultural dip at Cuenca to the Stage I of the FAI Pan-American Paragliding Accuracy Landing Cup at Paute...We did it ALL in 11 days where paragliding took place every single day.

-
01/31/20
The end of January was the time of the annual Lake City, MN "Winterfest". Lots of free flying above the frozen waters of the Mississippi River and as much powered paragliding. Winter has it's charm and we never miss to take the best of it together with the Paragliding club from Minnesota.
-
01/21/20
January is still providing us with very good conditions for practicing. Steady wind and relatively high cloud base have been allowing us to master much of the needed skill set in a relatively short number of days. Trainees are satisfied with having so many flying opportunities.
-
01/14/20
Another towing session took place. Adam, Curt, Charles and Ken all made multiple skillfully executed flights today. Some had their first high altitude towing which marked the beginning of their P2 Novice course.
-
01/01/20
A small group fly-in was organized. We srarted the new flying season with a spectacular flight south of Devil's Lake, WI. Cold but memorable. 8 pilots turned up. Only a few camera batteries survived the bitter January air today...

-
12/27/19
We had a regular towing session with the future paragliding pilots of Wisconsin. Steph and little Pie from Prairie Du Sack spent the day with us at the flying site. Pie became the youngest "pilot" to date and boldly took to the skies with us onboard our colorful tandem paraglider.

12/22/19
Matt and Ken made our mandatory trip to Hager City, MN to work on their cliff launch technique. Ken had already done it so it was now Matt's turn to earn the sign off. There we met members of the local paragliding group and as always flying was great. We even got to test one of our brand new school Icaro Falco gliders. What a day!!!

Brian recently got his brand new Icaro Falco paraglider shipped to us from our factory in Italy. And of course he was so excited to give it a try in the park. Having a paraglider gives a whole new meaning to a "day off", doesn't it? :)

Stefan had been waiting for this flight for a while. A Gift Certificate from a friend brought him to us but due to his work schedule it took us a while to match the good weather with his time off. But where there's a will, there's a way.
-
11/10/19
Today we had a drone pilot stop by during one of our free flight training sessions.
-
10/26/19
Abby happened to be in the area with her boyfriend who also recently picked up paramotoring with us. Weather called for a flight and we did not hesitate to go for it.
Curt took up on his first thermal flight as part of his free flight training. Originally planned to take about 15 min, the flight took twice as much due to the afternoon rising air emitting from the somewhat dry fields north of the Wisconsin River. How about that for a first :)!

Betsy is an outdoorsy person. Sailor, hiker, runner, climber….She had already flown on a free flight paraglider before so today it was our turn to add some "thrust" to yet another flight.
-
10/04/19
Apart from all the student training and flying planned for the month, October shaped up to be the month for tandem flights. The list was endless. Claudia was the first to bravely take to the sky above WI on an that gorgeous October 5th. We took the best of it.

9/26/19
Practice, practice practice. It has been a week filled with amazing achievements. Some students got their first long flights, others got their USHPA P1 ratings. Welcome to the world of Paragliding.
-
9/18/19
Flaviana's flight was in the making for an year. She came with a lot of excitement and energy. We had a busy week but that flight was planned for quite some time due to iffy weather so today was the day. Winds were low and switchy but she was amazing and we had a tremendous view over the setting sun.

-
9/1/19
Busy summer. Lots of flying and emotions and today it was Scott's turn to cruise the skies. Sure him and rest of the guys took the best out of it.

-
8/12/19
Parker, Grant, Collin and Kandyl had come all the way from Texas and Missouri. The road trip had become an adventure long before their stop in Wisconsin. And sure we added some excitement to it.
