Practice, practice practice. It has been a week filled with amazing achievements. Some students got their first long flights, others got their USHPA P1 ratings. Welcome to the world of Paragliding.

Flaviana's flight was in the making for an year. She came with a lot of excitement and energy. We had a busy week but that flight was planned for quite some time due to iffy weather so today was the day. Winds were low and switchy but she was amazing and we had a tremendous view over the setting sun.

Busy summer. Lots of flying and emotions and today it was Scott's turn to cruise the skies. Sure him and rest of the guys took the best out of it.

Parker, Grant, Collin and Kandyl had come all the way from Texas and Missouri. The road trip had become an adventure long before their stop in Wisconsin. And sure we added some excitement to it.

Mr. Fan joined us today. All the way from far China, his trip across Wisconsin included a stopover for a aerial tour of the Wisconsin River.

A day for P2 "Cliff Launch" sign off with the students. Being able to run and take off from a cliff is an essential skill that every paragliding pilot must master. It is not so much physical as much as it is a mental exercise.

We had an awesome day today. Full day for towing pilots and students. Average flight duration was 1hr+ and we even got to do cross country flights ridding the thermals to Madison and back. The only thing that stopped us from overflying Madison was the Dane County airport air space.

Today, it was Denis's turn to get a taste of flight. The outcome was that right after we landed, she signed up for a full paramotor training. Wow! What an impression the flight left. Who said it was just a men's world :)

Another spectacular day. Saturday AM began with lessons bright and early. A lot was done and the progress was great. Mid day we moved to free flight towing as few had to do check flights and the conditions with the light thermals were just right. More than tows 10 were completed and climb rates of 6-8 f/sec. were present all along the banks of the Wisconsin River. Total BLISS !!! Visiting pilots from the Chicago area added a PRO spice to the day. Evening was closed with 7 paramotor pilots enjoying the beautiful sunset over the blooming Wisconsin scenery. Just another day fulfilling man's oldest dream!

Our first annual mini PPG gathering was a success. Once again we joined forces with Paul Cooley and Madcity Paragliding out of Madison. Lot of people , flyers and non flyers turned up and the stakes were high for us to show what Paragliding is about. Despite of the stronger winds throughout most of the day we still managed to free fly and paramotor. Josiah and Greg got their taste of flight from the "front row". Their Trip Advisor page comments showed it all -

The 2019 Winterfest at Lake City, MN this year added Paragliding and Hang Gliding to its list with "happenings". Our flying venue was on the very frozen Mississippi River. Compass Airsports and Madcity Paragliding were not to miss it. Despite of the low ceiling we had fun flying and made tons of new friends. See you in the next 2020 Winterfest - Bigger and Better :)

A glimpse of what we do daily. Fun never stops despite of the lower temps.Training in various conditions teaches respect for the elements and understanding of weather.

New experience gained and another sign off for the restless students. Cliff launch is a great skill, essential for the P2 Novice Paragliding Course candidate. Job well done to all who flew that day!

The hard work on the training hill finally paid off and Lenin received his P1 thus joining the paragliding "family". Today he made his first steps towards the P2 and did great. His big smile once again soared under the canopy ! :)

Making his first contact with light flying, Lenin is getting ready for the big paragliding world awaiting him in the Ecuadorian Andes. The path will be long but it all starts with the First Step.

Hilton's flight came out a massive surprise. We had a great time up there and after landing he noted what a "recharging" effect did the flight have on him.
